Teachable Moment (M. De Sade) is a détourned puzzle ball, a learning toy meant to impart problem solving in a maze like format.

The original object has been disassembled and the ball bearings replaced with small rocks and building material from the ancestral chateaux of the Marquise de Sade in Lacoste, in the south of France.

The object is intended as a reflection on the reality of the world’s problematics as opposed to the more simple educational and entertaining fare we are offered as a way to make sense of life.
